Introduction to British Sign Language

This combined training will offer the opportunity to gain knowledge about the barriers D/deaf people face and the basic skills necessary to communicate effectively with D/deaf people. Each week skills and knowledge will be built on. Signs will be taught, based on everyday topics such as greeting, introductions, family, food, home etc. The students will be encouraged to communicate with each other using BSL, to help improve receptive and productive skills. Clinical Pilates

Join us for a free six-week course of Pilates especially designed for those living with back and neck pain, recovering from injury or surgery, or post natal. Card and Memory Book Making

A wonderful card and memory book making course is beginning at The Orrell Trust on Monday 7 June. Taking place over six weeks you will learn the skills to produce high-quality card and gifts from an expert tutor. The course runs weekly on Monday afternoons, 12 Noon - 2PM. Exciting Times for The Orrell Trust

The Orrell Trust has a double celebration this week as it reopens its doors to the public once more. Alongside the joy of finally emerging from lockdown, they are also celebrating a generous grant from The National Lottery Reaching Communities Fund. The grant, worth £187,841 over three years, means security for The Orrell Trust’s projects and activities that combat social isolation and loneliness in older people, and for The Jolly Soap Opera Mob, a much-loved social group for disabled young adults.
